Remember when you went to a shoe store and you saw how all of them had the hidden knots? It’s one of the most common things you’ll see, yet it’s not well-known how exactly the workers at the shop consistently hide those shoe knots.
Well, today’s your lucky day as creating the hidden shoe lace knot is actually easy to accomplish.
As you lace your shoe, make sure that the last loop going through the eyelets will move down into your shoe. Likewise, you can also keep the final eyelet open in case you need to do some fitting.
As you can see from the image, the lace moves downward into the shoe.
The next step involves adjusting the laces so that they would cross at the tip area of the shoe.
During this step, you will finally be doing the knot. Specifically, you will be applying a square knot. The first thing to do is to place the right shoelace above the left shoelace.
After placing the right shoelace over the left, pull the right one over the left shoelace.
Now that the two laces have basically switched positions, let the new ‘left’ shoelace move above and around the ‘right’ shoelace.
By this time, you will already have two loops interconnected with each other. Moreover, pulling them will make the loops tighter.
Observe how the knot you just did ends at the tip of the shoe. If you want to change the length of your shoelaces, you can always tie the square knot again.
Now, all you have to do is put the shoelaces below the shoe’s tongue. Of course, push the shoelaces as far as you can toward the front so that they won’t bother you anymore.
Now that you have successfully hidden the shoelace knot, it’s going to be inevitable after some time for the laces to become a little loose. Once this occurs, all you have to do is tightly pull the shoelaces and put them back again to the front.
